Nintendo of America today announced plans to drop the retail price of its portable Nintendo 3DS system to $169.99 in the United States. The new price, downgraded from $249.99, will be effective August 12th.
Nintendo has also announced the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program. This will give 3DS owners, previous of August 12th, 20 free virtual console games; all that is required of the people who own a 3DS to receive these games, is to visit the 3DS e-store at least once before Aug. 11th 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time and those owners will be registered as program members.
